D.C. FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM
Live, Learn, and Intern in D.C.
The D.C. Fellowship Program offers financial awards to students majoring in Communication or Political Science for summer internships in Washington, D.C. with the Boilers Go to D.C. Summer Scholars Internship Program.
These prestigious fellowship awards are offered by the Brian Lamb School of Communication and the Department of Political Science.

Eligibility
COMMUNICATION
- Undergraduate student majoring in communication (any concentration) in the Brian Lamb School of Communication
- Sophomore, junior, or senior with a graduation date of December 2024 or later
POLITICAL SCIENCE
- Undergraduate student majoring in political science(any concentration) in the Department of Political Science
- Sophomore, junior, or senior with a graduation date of December 2024 or later
Program Overview
The D.C. Intern Fellowship will provide undergraduate students with a financial award for living expenses and housing through the Boilers Go to D.C. Summer Scholars Internship Program for the duration of their summer internship and career readiness training with alumni mentoring before and during their internships.
The program will culminate with a creative “capstone” project developed by the student that includes the knowledge and skills gained during their internship.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Applicants must submit the following:
- Completed application
- Resume with current GPA
- Cover letter describing background, interest in the fellowship, and what you would like to achieve with the program
- 2 letters of recommendation from current or previous instructors to be sent to Andrea Langrish, alangris@purdue.edu
Copy of university transcript
