ALUMNI MENTOR PROGRAM
CCSE INTERNSHIPS
The Center for C-SPAN Scholarship & Engagement is excited to have our CCSE interns be part of a dynamic alumni mentor program throughout their internship.
This mentor program runs through the term of the internship and is designed to be flexible yet impactful for both alumni and students. It creates opportunities for alumni and students to develop professional relationships that will help students plan for their future and be successful after graduation. The intern mentoring program is offered to CCSE interns who represent majors from programs across Purdue University. And just like the CCSE interns, our Purdue alumni mentors will represent careers and education from a variety of fields that our interns are interested in pursuing.
CCSE offers 3 paid, professional internship tracks:
- Editorial & Research – one-semester work term
- Marketing & Promotion – academic year work term
- Audio & Visual Production – academic year work term
Alumni mentors will be matched with interns whose academic and career interests are aligned with those of their mentor.
The number of mentor pairs are dependent on the number of interested participants.
COMMITMENT
- Mentor pairs will meet at least one time per month via video conference or phone call at a day and time that they schedule together
- Mentorship lasts the duration of the internship work term
NEXT STEPS
- Complete the application survey
- Submit a signed Memo of Understanding and Code of Conduct
- Get matched with a CCSE Intern
- Attend the mentee/mentee training session where you’ll receive training on the program and meet your mentee and fellow alumni mentor
