Rusty Jones
Please join me in congratulating Rusty Jones, associate professor of theatre in the Patti & Rusty Rueff School of Design, Art, and Performance, for winning a Dallas-Fort Worth Theater Critics Forum Award for scenic design.
The critics recognized Rusty’s work on Babette’s Feast with one of 10 awards for Outstanding Design or Creative Contribution on a production from the 2018-19 season. Babette’s Feast, written by Rose Courtney and adapted from a short story by Isak Dinesen, opened in May 2019 with Fort Worth’s Amphibian Stage Productions.
Rusty, who was the only solo designer recognized in the design category, plans to return to Fort Worth in spring 2020 to design for Amphibian Stage Productions again.
Congratulations, Professor Jones!
