ACLS Luce Foundation Award

Margaret Tillman has received the ACLS Luce Foundation Award for $50,000 on her project, “Cultivating Talent and China’s Standardized Exams, 1905-1977.”

Margaret has also conducted archival research in Taipei, Shanghai and Beijing, and has received grants from the Center for Chinese Studies (National Central Library, Taiwan), the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation and the Fulbright DDRa, and a PRC 985 Research Grant through Fudan University.
