Robert L. Ringel Gallery: Selections from the Permanent Collection
August 30, 2010
Robert L. Ringel Gallery, Purdue Memorial Union
Longer-term displays from the Purdue Galleries permanent collection are now being presented in a gallery dedicated to that purpose. These displays run throughout the year, with segments being exchanged periodically, enabling Galleries to better highlight the valuable contributions of our donors.
Later this fall, Purdue Galleries will present an exhibit of the illustrations of Frank Stack from the graphic novel "Our Cancer Year," by Harvey Pekar and his wife Joyce Brabner. In conjunction with this graphic novel exhibit, the permanent collection exhibit in Ringel will highlight the works of one of the first "sequential" artists, 18th century English painter, printmaker, and social satirist William Hogarth.
