Susie Istock Hanlon is a senior marketing communications consultant in the Employee Communications group at ING US Retirement Services. She is responsible for the plan communication needs for large corporate institutional clients; leading both the strategy development and the day-to-day management of those participant communication programs. Prior to joining ING in 2003, Istock Hanlon spent eight years at State Street Corporation in Worldwide Marketing & Communications as a Communications Manager for non-US institutional markets and as a manager of the Competitive Intelligence Group. Istock Hanlon has more than seventeen years of financial services experience, most of which have been focused on the retirement industry.
Istock Hanlon actively participates on the steering committee of the ING Employee Giving Campaign, helping to raise more than $200,000 each year for local Boston-area and national non-profit organizations. She also serves on the local Community Partners Committee in Massachusetts helping to promote volunteer work in the local community.
Outside of the workplace, she serves on the Board of Trustees of Prospect Hill Academy, a K-12 charter school in Cambridge and Somerville, Massachusetts. Istock Hanlon was a member of the 2004 Lead Boston Class, run by the Boston National Conference for Community & Justice. She has also served as a volunteer for the Foster Care Unit for the Massachusetts Department of Families and Children since 2003. Istock Hanlon was formerly a board member of the Junior League of Boston; having been an active member since 1995.
Istock Hanlon is working on an advanced marketing degree from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. At Purdue she participated in PMO Choral Club and was a member of Delta Gamma.
