Courses Overview
Language and Cultural Support for International Students
PLaCE supports international students who learned English as a second language and who will benefit from language and cultural support as they adjust to life at a U.S. university. PLaCE courses are organized in two main areas:
Foundational Courses—a first-year sequence of three-credit courses for incoming international students who learned English as a second language and who will benefit from language and cultural support as they adjust to life at a U.S. university.
Short Courses—non-credit classes and workshops on all language skills open to all international undergraduate and graduate students at the university.
