Executive Director, MedEvac Foundation International

Garet Turner, CMP, CAE was appointed to serve as the Vice President, Strategic Engagement & Member Experience for the Association of Air Medical Services, and the Executive Director of the MedEvac Foundation International in August 2020. He oversees the operations, membership programs, and education departments for AAMS, while overseeing research and fundraising for the Foundation.  Previously, Garet served as the Chief Development Officer for ASAE and the ASAE Research Foundation overseeing a $2.5MM fundraising operation for the enterprise. In this role he was responsible for individual and corporate donation programs, corporate event sponsorship and fundraising events. Prior positions include Director of Corporate Relations for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) from 2014 - 2017.  After having been with CASE since September 2012, his final post held him responsible for more than $1.5MM in annual non-dues revenue. 

Garet’s additional fundraising experiences include Regional Director of Development at Purdue University, Associate Director of Development in the School of Management at George Mason University and as the Associate Director of Regional Programs at the Trust for the National Mall.

A proud and engaged active alum, Garet formerly served as chair of Purdue Black Alumni Organization’s, Fundraising and Scholarship Committees, and as a member of the College of Liberal Arts Alumni Board. 

Garet resides in the greater Washington, D.C. area with his husband, Lonnie R. Walker, Jr., a Realtor® and owner of the Agile Home Team, an EXP Realty company.
