Jadah Horace, Alum '23

Major: Law & Society, Political Science

Jadah Horace

Hello! My name is Jadah Horace and I am double majoring in both Law and Society and Political Science! I am originally from Lafayette, Indiana, so Purdue has always been in my backyard. I never really saw myself attending Purdue, until I had my first official visit! Being on such a big campus, it actually felt like I was farther from home than I actually was!

Choosing my major was definitely hard when I was applying to Purdue, especially because you could only choose one! I knew that I wanted to do something in the College of Liberal Arts. I decided to go with Law and Society my first year. After having an insightful and incredible first two semesters, I decided to add Political Science as well! My advisors gave great advice and guidance with all the concerns I had about the extra load of another major!

What I love about being a student in the College of Liberal Arts at Purdue University is how dynamic the college is. There are numerous advisors, professors and faculty that are always willing to go above and beyond to help you succeed. The students in the College of Liberal Arts are open to discussions and willing to share perspectives and experiences to help each other understand and grow. There is always a helping and welcoming hand in the College of Liberal Arts! Another great aspect of being in the College of Liberal Arts are the opportunities that come with it! The College of Liberal Arts at Purdue has so many great clubs and organizations that can align with your studies and your hobbies!

While being a student at Purdue, I am also a part of the Purdue Dance Team! Along with being a part of this organization, I am also a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, Alpha Theta Chapter on campus as well! These organizations, along with being involved in the College of Liberal Arts have helped me develop and grow so much as a person.

Purdue University was not the place I saw myself being at, but being a student, being involved and participating in different clubs and organizations has made me so grateful I decided to be a Boilermaker. All of the great experiences and relationships I have made on this campus are something I could never have imagined and I am so blessed to be able to call this place home!
