Director of Marketing & Business Development, Mimir & HireOrbit Products

Elizabeth Thompson graduated from communication undergrad in 2007 and went on to work for Purdue first as an Assistant Director of Annual Giving, then as Assistant Director of Stewardship, and finally as the Director of Development with the Purdue Research Foundation. After almost 8 years at Purdue, Elizabeth became the Director of Marketing & Business Development for Mimir & HireOrbit products. In this role, she leads marketing, outreach, and business development initiatives for the second product launched by Mimir. She also develops media relations strategies and completes ongoing research projects to better understand the HR technology landscape and how her company can continually improve their product to help businesses hire the best talent to reach their organizational goals.

HireOrbit is an HR technology product created to streamline hiring processes for companies from startup to enterprise. Features include high-level technical interviewing capabilities for software engineering and related roles. The platform also serves as a candidate management system helping HR or hiring committees take prospective employees from applicant screening to signed offer.

Elizabeth has been working on her Masters in Communication at the Brian Lamb School of Communication at Purdue, and has recently been involved with founding a pre-seed stage company called Greater Innovations by licensing a Purdue technology through OTC. The goal of the company is to commercialize sustainable technologies in the state of Indiana.

Elizabeth also serves on the Board of Director of the Tippecanoe Arts Federation, was an Innovation Ambassador for Centric Indy, and is an Advisor for WomenIN, part of the Purdue Foundry.
