LaDarius Gorden, an Assistant Director for Student-Alumni Programs at the Purdue Alumni Association, oversees the Senior Year Experience and Recent Graduate Programs which provides help in the transition process from student to successful alum. Once alumni status is established, LaDarius is there to present opportunities and advice that will aid in post-graduate life to ensure that recent alum are utilizing all resources the Purdue Alumni Association make available in order to build the foundation to a prosperous career. LaDarius’ varied background in student affairs, peer mentoring, and fundraising has fueled him to the position he is in today. He is very passionate about giving back to the community through service and advocacy, making sure that he stays directly connected in order to walk with individuals on the path to success. Being a First Generation college graduate, his primary goal is to show that he is a living testament of an individual who has been resilient in life’s battles and that no amount of trouble can prevent anyone from staying determined to reach their goals and true potential.
