How has your internship helped build your skills and clarify your career goals?

This internship has greatly familiarized me with court processes and the roles of judges, attorneys, clerks, and deputies. I have been able to talk with many judges in the Superior Court system about their careers and experiences as an attorney, and it has solidified my ambitions to attend law school after graduating from Purdue.

How do you apply your Liberal Arts skills in your internship?

I found that POL 428, Politics of Regulation was very useful during this internship, as it covered many Supreme Court cases and legal terms that came up during this internship. However, all of my political science and sociology studies were useful, especially when we discussed subjects of racial injustice and ethics in the legal system.
