Jacqueline Becker is an attorney for the United States Government.  She was appointed by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System as the Associate Inspector General for Legal Services and Counsel to the Inspector General (IG) in 2010 after serving as the Assistant Inspector General for Legal Services throughout the financial crisis. Becker oversees the Federal Reserve Board and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Office of Inspector General (OIG) Legal Services Program, and serves as the IG's general counsel. She also serves as the Chair of the Council of Counsels to the Inspectors General leading over 300 IG Counsels government-wide on legal issues of mutual concern.                                  

Becker joined the Federal Reserve Board OIG's staff in 2005 as a senior attorney, and was promoted to senior counsel in 2008. Prior to joining the Board, she served as senior attorney to the IG at the U. S. Department of Energy, and as a clerk for the Illinois Appellate Court, First District, in Chicago, Illinois.  After graduating from Purdue, Becker earned a J.D. from the John Marshall Law School (1993). She is also an alumna of the Harvard Business School's High Potential Leader Executive Education Program (2008), and a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania (2013).
