Kate Smith is the creator and owner of the consumer brand, From Frank. A brand centered on Smith's French bulldog, Frank, who is on a mission to make humans smile. From Frank was launched in September 2011 as line of 50 greeting cards in a local gift store in Lafayette, Indiana. The brand quickly became an alpha dog intellectual property with multiple card collections at debuted at Target and and Wal-Mart, licensed products from home accessories to lottery games and a retail presence in over 10,000 doors nationwide.
