President of Transform Consulting Group, a full service consulting firm for the public sector, Amanda Lopez brings a fresh, national perspective and diverse work experience to organizations that want to increase capacity and achieve their strategic goals. She has national and local experience, collaborating with both public and private non-profit organizations.
Locally, Lopez has consulted with organizations to make transformational change in Indiana, California, Georgia, South Carolina and Michigan. At the state level, Lopez worked for the Michigan Department of Human Services and has consulted with other state agencies. Nationally, she has served The United States Federal Government, where Amanda worked for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office of the Budget, the Children’s Bureau and the Head Start Bureau. During her service at the federal level, Lopez lead the integration of performance-based budgeting and oversaw the agency’s annual budget submission to the White House and Congress as well as worked on policy for child welfare and Head Start programs.
Lopez has a passion to raise the capacity of public sector organizations to meet their mission and surpass their goals. She is committed to aligning resources in the public sector to "What works" and achieves results. Lopez provides the following consulting services for organizations: strategic planning and facilitation, fund development, governmental affairs, program development, project management, evaluation, training and other services as needed.
Lopez is a first-generation college graduate, completing a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Purdue University and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan. Lopez is the first recipient of the Purdue University Emerging Voice Alumni Award for outstanding young professionals under 40 years old. Lopez is a native Hoosier and grew up in Wabash, Indiana with her caring parents, Steve and Nilsa Brown - proud foster parents to other children for nearly 40 years. Lopez currently resides in Carmel, Indiana with her husband, Jaime, and their daughter, Victoria Claire.
