Tom John is a Partner in the Public Affairs group where he handles various matters for clients ranging from executive and legislative lobbying at the state and municipal levels to administrative law proceedings.
Tom's experiences include formerly serving as a clerk to Justice Brent E. Dickson of the Indiana Supreme Court and Judge Bobby R. Baldock of the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals. Tom has also served as a member of the Indiana Election Commission.
Tom dedicates a great deal of time and energy to work in the political arena. He formerly served as the campaign manager in the successful 2002 campaign to elect Todd Rokita as Indiana's Secretary of State and Isaac Randolph to the Marion County City County Council. He also has served as coordinator of statewide ballot access initiatives and convention races and has served as an advisor to numerous campaigns. In 2007, Tom was elected the Chairman of the Marion County Republican Party which participated in the Republican control of the city-county council and victory for Republican Mayor Greg Ballard. Tom also serves as the Indiana National Committeeman for the Young Republicans and is the former president of the Indiana Leadership forum and the Downtown GOP Club.
Tom's acknowledgements include the Indianapolis Business Journal's Forty under 40 list (2008) and Indy's Best and Brightest Finalist.
As a member of the community, Tom has also served as the former vice-president and treasurer of the Herron-Morton Place Association and the Indianapolis Greenways Development Committee.
