Chief Operating Officer, InContext Solutions

For nearly 20 years, Joe Balitewicz has provided clients his expertise in the arena of operations management. He has directed, planned, and executed a myriad of complex projects involving insurance liquidations, information system implementations, operations management, tax controversy, fraud, money laundering, technical vulnerabilities and risk management. Joe has directed engagements requiring deep industry knowledge and proven leadership skills. He has demonstrated an expertise in managing human resources and processes, and delivered results for projects with extremely tight deadlines and multiple components.

At various points in his career, Joe served as an interim CIO to an HMO, managed investigations on ponzi schemes and money laundering, developed hub and spoke models for the review and production of millions of documents, and led an off-shoring engagement to an operations center in India.

Joe currently serves as the Chief Operations Officer for InContext Solutions, LLC, a start-up firm, where he is responsible for leading and managing the day to day operations of the firm. ICS is only 22 months old, but has gained a stellar reputation within the marketplace as an innovator for 3D market research.

In Context Solutions provides highly realistic 3-D virtual store platforms for testing consumer behavior at the point of sale, and allows important visualization capabilities for viewing different store layouts, displays, signage and product designs for aiding the sales process and measuring analytics on their effectiveness.  They are the only true 3-D Internet delivered research platform available in the market.

Prior to joining InContext Solutions, Joe worked for 17 years at Navigant Consulting, an international consulting firm headquartered in Chicago. Joe began his career working on engagements for the insurance and financial services industry. Later, Joe managed white collar litigation support matters, including tax controversy, ponzi schemes, anti-money laundering and fraud investigations.

Joe graduated from the College of Liberal Arts of Purdue University in 1991, majoring in Political Science. While at Purdue, Joe joined Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity, where he was elected to several positions, served as an Old Masters Student Host, was awarded a position as an Indiana State Senate Intern for the 1990-91 Session, and made the Dean’s list several times, including achieving all A’s his final semester.

Joe had to wait until 1997 to finally witness Purdue beating Notre Dame at Ross-Ade, where he stormed the field and rang the Purdue Victory Bell. He was able to repeat the event in 2000 when the Boilers took down Ohio State on their way to the Rose Bowl. He is still awaiting our next visit to the Final Four…

Joe lives in Chicago (city proper) with his wife Bridget a graduate of Ball State and a triple graduate of Loyola University Chicago, their two cats Bella and Harriet and regularly attends games rooting for his beloved Chicago White Sox. Joe and Bridget are avid travelers, visiting more than 2 dozen countries, have attended the last two World Cup events, 42 states, and lots of national parks. Most of their vacations were financed through years of traveling on the road accumulating more than 500,000 air miles and hotel stays.
