Nancy Ahlrichs has led United Way of Central Indiana to win the 2011 Best Places to Work in Indiana award (Indiana Chamber) and the 2010 Crowning Achievement in Diversity award (Indy SHRM). For over six years, Ahlrichs was president of EOC Strategies, LLC, an Indianapolis-based human resources consulting firm specializing in intergenerational communication and management, attracting and managing Gens X & Y, reigniting performance in longtime employees, and building the bottom line by becoming an employer of choice.
Previously, Ahlrichs used her HR, OD, branding and marketing experience as the Director of Organizational Evolution and as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for ONEX, Inc., a multiple award-winning, Indianapolis-based high tech solutions consulting firm with offices in the Midwest. In the mid-1980s, Ahlrichs co-founded the largest public relations firm in Orlando, Florida, and later opened the San Diego office of Right Management Consultants, a 300-office international management consulting firm.
Ahlrichs shares her research and experience in her speaking, consulting, and writing. She has spoken to more than 500 audiences and management teams in utilities, insurance, healthcare, high tech, legal, banking, government, manufacturing, and other fields.
Ahlrichs’ numerous articles and guest columns have appeared in print and online business and technical journals. Her books have been featured in Harvard Business Update, Fast Company magazine, Medical Economics, HR Strategy and a variety of newspapers around the country. She is the author of, Igniting Gen B and Gen V: The New Rules of Engagement for Boomers, Veterans and Other Long-term Employees; Manager of Choice: 5 Competencies for Cultivating Top Talent; and Competing for Talent: Key Recruitment and Retention Strategies for Becoming an Employer of Choice, are available through major bookstores and www.amazon.com. In 2007, Ahlrichs was named “American Speaker of the Year” by TEC Canada, for her work with more than 20 CEO peer groups. The late Governor Frank O’Bannon named Ahlrichs a “Distinguished Hoosier” for her service to the State of Indiana, and she was named “Kiwanian of the Year 2001-2002.” Ahlrichs is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). Ahlrichs currently serves on the board of directors for the Central Indiana Regional Blood Center and for the Society for Diversity. She also served on the board of directors for Interactive Information Service, Inc., a Cleveland-based high tech software development firm and is active in a variety of community and professional organizations including the Kiwanis Club of Indianapolis, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and the OD Network.
