Sue McNab is the Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for PEMCO Insurance. McNab started at PEMCO in 2005; in her current role she is responsible for Human Resources, Learning & Organizational Development and Community Relations.
In 1987 McNab went to work for Ernst Home Centers as Senior Vice President. She was Human Resources Director for KOMO TV in Seattle, WA. McNab was Senior Vice President Global Retail Operations, Vice President Administration and Vice President Human Resources for Wizards of the Coast from 1996-2001. In 2001 McNab was named Vice President of People Services and Community Partnerships for Starbucks/Seattle Coffee Company.
McNab took a sabbatical from 1991-1996 to circumnavigate the globe as part of the first all-woman sailing crew to do so and attempted a world-record sailing expedition to traverse the Canadian Arctic’s Northwest Passage in 1996, which she narrated and photographed for the PBS special Five in the Ice.
McNab is very active in her community. She belongs to the Seattle Rotary Club, Girl Scouts, Ethnic Heritage Council, Humanities Washington, and the Purdue Club of Puget Sound. She is also a member of the University of Washington School of Social Work Advisory Board. McNab’s hobbies are sailing, warm-water SCUBA, calligraphy, and travel.
While a student at Purdue, McNab was a member of Old Masters-Central Committee, ROTC-Angel Flight, Sigma Kappa, and Mortar Board.
