Robin Stryker

Please join me in congratulating Robin Stryker, a new professor in sociology, for winning two writing awards from the American Sociological Association.

An article that Robin co-authored with former student Nicholas Pedriana, “From Legal Doctrine to Social Transformation: Comparing U.S. Voting, Equal Employment Opportunity and Fair Housing Legislation” (published in the American Journal of Sociology in July 2017), won Distinguished Article awards from two separate ASA sections: the Human Rights Section and the Political Sociology Section.

Robin accepted the two awards at the 113th ASA Annual Meeting on Aug. 14 in Philadelphia.
