Linda Renzulli

Please join me in congratulating Linda Renzulli, professor and head of sociology, for her selection as a Big Ten Academic Alliance Academic Leadership Program (ALP) Fellow for the 2021-22 academic year.

The ALP was established in 1989 to help exceptional faculty who are considering leadership positions “understand the university as dynamic and inclusive institutions, and to help them build awareness of the diverse, complex, and changing landscape of higher education while exploring their role in that landscape.” Many program fellows have gone on to become college presidents, provosts, and deans.

The Big Ten Academic Alliance will host seminars over the course of the academic year, focusing on subjects like contemporary issues in higher education; internal and external relationships; and money, management, and strategies. Purdue requires fellows to attend the ALP’s off-campus seminars – if and when this becomes possible given COVID-related considerations – as well as on-campus meetings and a series of virtual seminars and discussions.

Congratulations, Professor Renzulli!
