Betsy Turner's first job after she left Purdue was working as an actor. She was then hired as a paralegal in Washington, DC. Following two years as a paralegal assisting at several trials in Federal Court, Turner went to law school.

Turner now practices law in the Federal Courts but stays active in the New York theatre community by serving as an officer and director of New York's Drama League.
