Having been with Associated Builders and Contractors of Indiana/Kentucky, Inc. (ABC) for just over eight years, Martha Bracken is responsible for Chapter operations, business development, public relations, government affairs and legislative & issue advocacy at the State level. She is currently splitting her time between Indiana and Kentucky managing the internal operations and staff of both states, having just steered the two Chapters through a successful merger/acquisition process.
In her current role, Bracken was active in getting Right to Work passed in Indiana in 2012. She also successfully leads the Chapter’s Emerging Leaders program, works one-on-one with the ABC Purdue Student Chapter and sits on ABC National’s Young Professionals Advisory Board, which develops future leaders in the construction industry nationwide. Before being named to EVP, Bracken was the Vice President of Business Development at ABC, successfully procuring and managing business development and growth opportunities for the Chapter and its membership.
Bracken is a 2000 graduate of Purdue University (West Lafayette Campus), College of Liberal Arts, and is a member of the Purdue Alumni Association [PAA] and the American Society of Safety Engineers [ASSE], as well as a member of the Board of Directors for the Metro Indianapolis Coalition for Construction Safety [MICCS].
Bracken currently resides in Indianapolis with her husband, Scott Bracken, and enjoys boating on Geist, biking on the Monon, traveling, attending every Colts home game, and of course, cheering on her Boilermakers with fellow Alumni!
