Eric graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design. Upon graduation, he relocated to Rhode Island to start a career as a Toy Designer on the Transformers team with Hasbro Inc.
For the next 12 years, he grew as a creative within the company, spearheading many successful product launches of Transformers product, including the 2007, 2009, and 2011 feature films. He even had additional runs as a design manager for the Star Wars and Littlest Petshop Brand teams where he leveraged his broad design sensibilities and interpersonal skills with cross disciplinary team members to develop great toys effectively.
In 2014 He began his journey as a freelance designer and created his own design studio, where he would continue creative growth developing creative toy concepts, and packaging illustrations for many major toy companies across the globe, as well as expanding his design skillset by supporting Animation Studios production as a character and prop designer on shows like Ben 10, Blazing Teen, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
In 2021, Eric returned to a full-time role at Superplastic, where he is now serving as the Head of Character Design. Within the company, he drives the creative development for Art Toy, Entertainment, and Immersive Experience teams - championing an artistic storyteller’s approach to expand the company’s Intellectual Property across multiple channels and media.
Eric currently lives in Los Angeles with his lovely wife and two amazing children. When not working to create weird new worlds and its inhabitants, he typically occupies himself with a general array of nonsense.
