Linda Haynes

Linda Haynes is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of English where she teaches advanced composition and serves as the Associate Director of Composition. Professor Haynes has played a pivotal role in advancing the university’s educational mission by delivering innovative, high-quality writing instruction to thousands of Purdue undergraduates. As teaching mentor for new and experienced graduate students, limited-term lecturers, and visiting clinical instructors, she has shaped the experience of thousands more. In 2024, she was awarded the university’s Excellence in Instruction Award for Lecturers. Professor Haynes is a member of Purdue’s Teaching Academy and is a Faculty Fellow for John Martinson Honors College.
