Biography
Cassidy earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication at Purdue University and her Master of Arts in Communication Studies at Gonzaga University. Cassidy’s professional background includes being the Communications Coordinator for the Division of Financial Aid at Purdue University and teaching communication courses as the Communication Faculty Fellow at Ivy Tech Community College.
Research and Teaching
Cassidy is interested in health communication research, specifically involving maternal and infant health. Cassidy’s current projects explore patient-provider communication about stillbirth and the efficacy of various communication tactics in stillbirth prevention campaigns. Cassidy has 5 years of teaching experience at Ivy Tech Community College and Purdue University, having taught introductory presentational speaking courses, advanced presentational speaking courses, Workplace Communication, Interpersonal Communication, and Interviewing: Principles and Practice. She also has experience teaching dual credit courses at high schools in the Lafayette area. Cassidy has been recognized at Ivy Tech Community College for excellence in instruction.
