New York Times Bestselling Author
Lake Forest, IL

Jen Lancaster is the New York Times bestselling author of ten books, with over 1,000,000 copies sold.  She has appeared on Today, The Joy Behar Show, and NPR’s All Things Considered.  She lives in Lake Forest, Illinois with her husband “Fletch” (John Fletcher, also a Purdue graduate, BA 1995, Communication).

Jen began “blogging” (before “blog” was a word) in 2001, after the dot-com bubble burst and she lost her Vice President of Sales position with a technology firm.  Her husband lost his job one year later, in the aftermath of a financial scandal at a major telecommunications company (the CEO went to jail, not Fletch).  Jen’s first book, Bitter is the New Black, published in March, 2006, chronicled their journey from penthouse to poor house, and made her one of the first bloggers to sign with a major publisher.

Her latest book, Twisted Sisters, a story about sibling rivalry, body-swapping, and the magic that is reality television was released on February 4th, 2014.  It is her third foray into fiction.
