HOW HAS YOUR INTERNSHIP HELPED BUILD SKILLS AND CLARIFY YOUR CAREER GOALS?
My internship has sharpened my interviewing skills, as well as other skills correlated to Human Resources. This experience pushed me to continue my educational journey by working towards obtaining a master in Human Resource Management.

HOW DO YOU APPLY YOUR LIBERAL ARTS SKILLS IN YOUR INTERNSHIP?
My degree in Sociology established a foundation that I built from in conducting interviews and recruiting.

WHAT IS A TYPICAL DAY LIKE AS AN INTERN, ANY CHALLENGING OR EXCITING ASPECTS?
My typical day at my internship involved reviewing resumes and contacting qualified applicants via email or phone. It also involved a lot of talent sourcing and scheduling in order to fill requisites as quickly as possible. On open-interview days I had the opportunity to conduct a few interviews. I believe leading the interview found to be the hardest aspect of my internship. Through this experience I learned just how important HR work is to companies. I think the value of HR work and the impact they have on the success of a company really sparked my excitement and interest in this line of work.
