Korean is the newest language program added to the School of Languages and Cultures Curriculum.

Inspired by the large population of students, who requested Korean language to be offered at Purdue campus, the School of Languages and Cultures started offering Korean languges courses regularly in Fall 2019.

The Korean program took off immediatelly, and just four years later the number of students enrolled in Korean has more than tripled. There are currently 800 Korean students at Purdue, and we are creating a minor in Korean Language and Culture.

Dr. Huai-Rhin Kim, Lecturer in Korean in SLC, has been instrumental in the growth of this program.

Please watch this video, created by a Purdue student majoring in Film and video Production, who also studied Korean in SLC to learn more about the Korean program at Purdue.
