Kyle Haynes completed BAs in Political Science and History at the University of Delaware and a PhD in Foreign Affairs at the University of Virginia. He specializes in international security, U.S. foreign policy, conflict and bargaining, signaling, and great power politics.

His research has appeared or is forthcoming in the American Journal of Political Science, International Studies Quarterly, The Journal of Conflict Resolution, International Security, Conflict Management & Peace Science, International Interactions, PS: Political Science & Politics, The British Journal of Politics & International Relations, and International Politics. Haynes has also published policy research in War on the Rocks, Texas National Security Review, and The Diplomat.
