About Me
My name is Suleimen Sultan and I am from Kazakhstan. I am studying for a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing. Before Purdue, in Kazakhstan I studied at a school called the National Physics - Math School. I was a technician in FTC (First Tech Challenge) team called bolt.m3 or #22801. This was for a competition about robotics, and as a team we have won 3 Central Asias, one Premier Event in New Springfield (Connect Award 1st place) and one Worlds in Houston (Motivate Award 1st place). I am really interested in robotics, IoT and everything that is about engineering and coding. Also, I really like music and can play two instruments: piano and dambora. The dambora is a traditional musical instrument of Kazakh people.
Why did you come to Purdue?
I chose Purdue because I want to expand my horizons of knowledge in a sphere or engineering and robotics.
Goals and Plans
I want to work in company that works with IoT or Drones.
Advice to new Purdue students
I would encourage them to talk with everyone, make some connections and just enjoy your life at Purdue. However, just walking and studying here is not enough. You came here for your big goals, and only studying will eventually slow you down. I encourage every freshman to start thinking about their life goals and try to build a bigger path for themselves at Purdue. This college offers diverse opportunities for you to improve, so please do not throw these great opportunities away and make the most of them!
