Barbara Hart Dixon has a Ph.D. in English literature from Purdue University. She also has an MA in English from Purdue and a BA in English from Brigham Young University. Dixon has lived abroad in both Pakistan and Brazil (and speaks Portuguese). During the course of her life she has held many jobs—all of which gave her valuable experience. Her jobs have included: waitress, copy editor, teacher, secretary, mother to three kids, nursing assistant, writer, and academic advisor. As Associate Dean for Administration in the College of Liberal Arts, her duties are primarily with communication, assessment, and scholarships.
