2018 Global Synergy Grant Recipient

Jessica Eise, a Ross Fellow in the Brian Lamb School of Communication doctoral program, was awarded the College of Liberal Arts endowed 2018 Global Synergy Grant to study climate change related information networks. Her research will address issues such as building a region-specific online networking platform for stakeholders and experts to connect with one another for collaborations or informational needs - as well as study the emerging network growth and behavior of climate change adaptation information networks.

Climate change is a deeply urgent and powerfully human challenge. It is not a matter of just numbers, but of impacts on lives. My research project focuses on how climate change impacts the lives of coffee farmers in Colombia; farmers who are struggling to maintain solvency as the seasons shift unexpectedly and severe weather events increase.” - Jessica Eise
