BA 2001

Project Manager, Capital Program Management at Purdue University

Kristi Brown is currently the Projects Manager for Capital Program Management, within Physical Facilities, at Purdue University. Kristi started as a clerk within Capital Program Management just a few years after graduating from Purdue with her BA in English Literature. She became ‘fascinated with designing the bigger picture’ and the parts necessitated to build an enduring community. Kristi built on the skills she learned during her time at Purdue, and combined with her construction experience locally, became an integral part of the management team.

Her responsibilities have included working on the State Street Redevelopment Project and serving as a liaison to the Joint Board management team, which is a joint management team between Purdue and West Lafayette. This requires Kristi to work closely with the city of West Lafayette engineering department and development office. She is also responsible for coordinating all of Purdue’s physical facilities, street and construction projects to ensure that scopes and timelines occur in a manner that allows vehicular and pedestrian traffic to flow safely and effectively.

Kristi is rewarded by her job in turn by being able to watch residents not only use the new amenities but also appreciate these new features.

Kristi has two children, a 12-year-old daughter and a 9-year-old son, and cites spending time with them as her favorite activity. She loves to cook, especially pasta dishes, and enjoys taking her dog on frequent walks.
