Our Student Organizations

GradSEA is comprised of graduate students from the English Department and other related fields (such as American Studies, Comparative Literature, and Philosophy and Literature) who have held graduate assistantships through the English Department. As a community designed to offer support and society for our graduate students, GradSEA also provides an Emerging Scholars Fund to help scholars throughout the department.

The elected representatives for 2024-25 are:

  • President: Emily Crider
  • Vice President: Eric Joseph
  • Treasurer: Jeeyoung Choi
  • Graduate Studies: Robert Beck and Emily Pearson
  • Excellence in Teaching: Alex Anderson
  • PGSG Senator: Dylan Henderson

The Literary, Interdisciplinary, Theory, and Culture Organization (LITCO) serves as a collaborative space for emerging scholars in the Literature, Theory, Cultural Studies (LTC) program to share their research; discuss recent innovations in literary criticism, theory, and cultural studies; and experience developments in the field through research forums, social gatherings, and the annual symposium. All LTC graduate students are considered members of LITCO, and all other interested graduate students are invited to join.
