The Westwood Competition is a semiannual juried art competition which takes place in fall and spring of each year. The competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students in the Patti and Rusty Rueff School of Design, Art, and Performance at Purdue. Artworks are judged by Westwood staff and residents, and accepted works are exhibited at Westwood, the residence of Purdue University’s president. Works selected in the fall will be on display October - March; works selected in spring will be on display March - October. Westwood is a private residence and is not open to the public, but private viewings are available. A private reception recognizing the accepted artists is held each spring.
Students who are interested in having their art or design work considered for the next exhibition at Westwood should drop off work at the Patti and Rusty Rueff Galleries during the designated dates.
The next Westwood competition will take place in Spring 2019. See dates below.
