Scott A. Keller is a founding partner of the Washington, D.C.-area law firm Lehotsky Keller Cohn. Previously, he was an attorney at Baker Botts and earlier served as the sixth Solicitor General of Texas, the state’s appellate litigator. Specializing in the Supreme Court and Constitutional law, he has argued twelve cases before the U.S. Supreme Court. Scott frequently represents parties in high stakes litigation and has argued many cases in courts of appeals throughout the nation. He has earned individual accolades from leading law literature such as Lawdragon 500 Leading Litigators in America, Chambers, The American Lawyer, and The National Law Journal, among other publications.
Scott has significant experience at the highest levels of government. In addition to serving the State of Texas, Scott was U.S. Senator Ted Cruz’s chief counsel on the Senate Judiciary Committee and served as a law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy and Judge Alex Kozinski of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Scott received his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law.
