Company Manager
Off-Broadway Goes Wrong LP
New York, NY

Ashlyn Smith is a company manager for Broadway and Off-Broadway shows, predominantly commercial plays. Her credits include The Play That Goes Wrong, The Sound Inside, “Daddy”, Sakina’s Restaurant, and the International tour of An American in Paris. Her career has given her the opportunity to work with actors like Mary Louise Parker, Alan Cumming, Tommy Dorfman, Hari Nef, and Aasif Mandvi. As company manager, Ashlyn is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the shows, including everything from accounting, payroll, labor and employee relations, ticket management, and budgeting. She also partners with the press and marketing teams to coordinate campaigns and any needs with the acting company. She enjoys balancing a day in the office, followed by an evening at the back of the theatre, 8 performances a week. Her passion lies with using her skills developed as a Purdue Theatre stage manager and through her time at Krannert to help others to use their creative skills in turn to better our society – whether it be by letting them escape for an hour or two or by informing them of something about which they may not have previously known. A third-generation Boilermaker, Ashlyn also earned a BS in Management and an MBA from Krannert. While at Purdue, Ashlyn was active with Purdue Theatre, the Purdue Alumni Student Experience (PASE) Board of Directors, Krannert Graduate Student Association, and Purdue Graduate Student Government. She also worked with Krannert’s Brock-Wilson Center for Women in Management for three years and Purdue Convocations. Ashlyn hails from Houston, Texas but now calls New York City home.
