1.) How did you learn about this internship opportunity?

I learned about this internship opportunity from my friend who had previously completed it and really enjoyed it.

2.) How has your internship helped build your skills and clarify your career goals?  How do you apply your Liberal Arts skills to your internship?  

This internship helped refine my writing skills, increase my problem-solving capabilities, and taught me a lot about the work of Congressional District Offices. Being a liberal arts student at Purdue enabled me to learn about the internship from connections I have made throughout classes.

3.) What is a piece of advice you would give someone looking for an internship?  

The best piece of advice I can give is to apply to internships you’re passionate about and when you get them to immerse yourself in the experience fully.

4.) What specific responsibilities have you undertaken during your internship?

Throughout my internship, I spoke with constituents, performed research projects, and aided in office duties.

5.) In what ways has the College of Liberal Arts at Purdue University supported your internship journey? How has your participating in our job-ready program specifically aided your professional development? 

The College of Liberal Arts at Purdue University supported my journey by allowing me to not worry about transportation costs during my internship. My participation in the job-ready program gave me more confidence while working because of all the practical advice the CLA offices have prepared me with.

6.) Could you highlight a standout aspect of your experience in this program that you find particularly noteworthy? 

 The most noteworthy aspect of my internship was how much I enjoyed working every day and how passionate the rest of the office was.
