Purdue’s Krannert School of Management is hiring a number of undergraduate and graduate interns for positions within the school’s Marketing and Communications team. Start either summer or fall 2022. Some positions can be remote. Pay is $12-$15+ an hour for average 10-15 hours per week. Hours are flexible.

OPEN POSITIONS
ALUMNI RELATIONS ASSISTANT
Support Krannert’s Alumni Relations and Events Team by maintaining critical information and content in a variety of systems. Be responsible for entry and maintenance of information, including current student and alumni records, event details, asset tagging, etc. Complete data handling certifications and be trained on several systems and processes. Ideally proficient in Microsoft Excel.
KRANNERT MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS ASSISTANT
Tell Krannert’s story by writing blogs, profiles of students and faculty, coverage of events, ad copy, marketing pieces and more. Must have strong writing skills and a willingness to work with editors and absorb detailed feedback to improve writing.
GRAPHIC DESIGN
Assist with and create email graphics, social graphics, print and digital designs and more. Must have strong time-management and organizational skills, a good understanding of graphic design, proficiency in Adobe software, and a passion to tell the stories of Krannert students, alumni, faculty and staff through graphic design.
CHINESE SOCIAL MEDIA / INTERNATIONAL MARKETING
Be responsible for day-to-day maintenance of Krannert’s Chinese social media accounts. Work with Krannert’s Chinese social management outsourcing partner to review and discuss content plans and monitor comments, direct messages, and tagged posts. Candidates should be able to speak, read and write Mandarin Chinese at native level, and understand Chinese cultures and audiences.
MARKETING DATA ANALYST
Be responsible for projects in the domains of market research, data management, visualization, and analysis. Learn new BI and analytics tools. Projects may range in duration from 8-16 weeks. Opportunities for continuing work may be available but are not guaranteed — subject to availability and performance.
MARKETING GENERALIST
Support Krannert’s marketing initiatives in a number of areas, including but not limited to email campaigns, competitive review/ analysis, website content, etc. Reporting to an Associate Director of Marketing, the student should be able to manage multiple projects at once with the ability to effectively shift gears as priorities change.
MARKETING PROJECT SPECIALIST
Be responsible for projects in the domains of marketing management, digital marketing, research, and analytics. Exercise skills in drawing insights from marketing data, investigating and projecting potential opportunities to reach new distinct markets, prepare reports and visualizations on findings, and advise on potential strategic applications. Preferred: Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau and experience with digital marketing (Google AdWords).
MARKETING RESEARCH
Be responsible for conducting a variety of primary and secondary research to support decision making across Krannert. Exercise skills in designing and executing research studies, preparing findings reports and presentations, and managing a student voice group within Krannert. Preferred: Experience leading research projects and familiarity with survey tools like Qualtrics or similar.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND MULTIMEDIA
Support the Krannert team with multimedia projects, including capturing photos of students/faculty/staff as well as at events both in Krannert and around campus. Capture, edit and deliver photos and videos to support the school’s print and digital marketing materials. Candidates should have a good understanding of photography, the basics of video, and proficiency in Adobe software.
RESEARCH COMMUNICATIONS
Showcase Krannert faculty research to prospective students, peer researchers and institutions, media, and to the general public. Read, understand, and summarize faculty research so readers can digest and appreciate the research. Craft press releases, website copy, social media posts, and more that bolster Krannert’s reputation and tell the story of our renowned faculty.
SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION
Research and make recommendation around content strategy, link building, and keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search networks. Track, report, and analyze website analytics; make recommendations to optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing; perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization; research and implement search engine optimization best practices. Train on several systems and processes including Google Analytics, Brightedge SEO tool, Google search console, and Site Improve.
SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST
Assist with the day-to-day maintenance of Krannert’s social media accounts. Be responsible for the planning and creation of student takeovers, spotlights, etc. Schedule posts in Hootsuite and monitor comments, direct messages, and tagged posts. Track metrics (followers, post engagement, etc.) to be reviewed by the team and influence future decision making.
MARKETING SURVEY AND RESEARCH
Be responsible for a variety of projects in the domains of market research, survey creation, and data management and analysis. Review the current reoccurring surveys and update them to get a better response rate as well as a clearer outcome. Preferred: Experience in conducting surveys via Qualtrics.
VIDEO / MULTIMEDIA
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in video production. Assist in creating a visual representation of the image Krannert presents on the national, local and world stage while adhering to the Purdue brand. Help set up cameras, lights and audio equipment, provide support during shoots as second camera, edit videos/produce videos and operate school livestreams.
WEBSITE INTERN
Be responsible for a variety of projects in the domains of information management, process management, and technology infrastructure. Exercise skills in business process and procedures, automation integration, and system development. Leverage problem-solving skills to develop solutions and reports that will assist in website content review processes.
