Brian Lamb School of Communication

Digital Media Production Center

The Digital Media Production Center (DMPC) is part of the Brian Lamb School of Communication. Our courses and facilities support the objectives of the Mass Com program utilizing digital media to teach presentation, interviewing, and reporting.

Our hands-on experiential courses teach students to create work for a real-world purpose in partnership with various organizations.

The DMPC produces Fast Track News, a weekly program covering West Lafayette and Purdue, and Watching Washington, a weekly public affairs program covering politics.

Podcasting Room

The podcasting studio hosts The Pod Class – a podcast about our Podcasting class. Students learn to produce podcasts, record voice-over narration, and can conduct interviews in the studio.

Video Editing Suites

Students can edit video projects in semi-private editing suites with the latest Adobe software. Computers are outfitted with speakers and dual-monitors.

Television Studio

Live from the Stewart Center! The television studio broadcasting equipment where students can learn to produce live TV. Fast Track News and Watching Washington are produced in the studio and air on The Purdue Channel.
